Philippines is truly an oasis of rich history and  culture. Manny Villar

My two year old niece  Dora, is very irritable since this morning. In the middle of her incessant cries, we chanced upon Manny Villar’s 2010 presidential commercial.  Dora stopped crying, started to watch the commercial, smiles as if she understood what the infomercial is trying to convey.  Must be the kids singing that  captured her attention, added to that is the melody. After the informercial, she wanted more and more. Thank God for youtube! It saved my nanny day with my niece.

Whoever is behind the commercial, Hey you got my niece’s attention! if only she could vote lol! okay, okay, Im having the lss syndrome right now because of the long youtube replay. .. si villar and tunay na mahirap, si villar and tunay na may malasakit! Gee trust me! I have memorize the song by heart!

Happy Christmas!

Happy Christmas everyone!  All the best for the coming year 2010!

Here’s my fave Christmas song : Someday at Christmas by King of Pop Michael Jackson.

Someday at Christmas men wont be boys
Playin with bombs like kids play with toys
One Warm December our hearts will see
A world where men are free

Someday at Christmas there’ll be no wars
When we have learned what Christmas is for
When we have found what life’s really worth
There’ll be peace on earth

Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime

Someday at Christmas we’ll see a land
(Someday at Christmas)
With no hungry children, no empty hand
(Someday at Christmas)
One happy morning people will share
A world where people care

Someday at Christmas there’ll be no tears
(Someday at Christmas)
Where all men are equal and no man have fears
(Someday at Christmas)
One shining moment, one prayer away
From our world today

Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But Someday at Christmas time

Someday at Christmas men would not have failed
Hate will be gone and love will prevail
Someday in a world that we can all start
With hope in every heart

Someday at Christmas..hmmmmmm, hmmmmmmm,hmmmm

But Someday at Christmas time
Someday at Christmas Time!!!!!!!!!!!

CYMA Restaurant Greenbelt

It was a one fine holiday, we were suppose to be enjoying our free day, yet work gets in the way. What  better way to compensate ourselves aside from the 200%  rate of  basic salary for the holiday work rendered , is to have a great luncheon. Atty. Jan suggested that we go to Cyma Restaurant located at Greenbelt 2.

Cyma is one of the greek restaurants here in the Metro that offers one of the most complete collections of greek dishes. We did have a celebratory meals! We had a holiday that comes with the whole package of great greek food  and conversation that can go all afternoon.

Greek foods are full of spices, flavourful, and bold.

Mezedes Combination: Pikilia

Pita Bread

Cyma Pasta

Greek Chicken Adobo

Opa moments! Food satisfaction guaranteed!

Movie: Avatar

They’ve sent us a message that they can take whatever they want; but we will send them a massage that this, this is our land! – Jake Sully

I just came from powerplant mall and I just had an awesome entertainment experience. Sure! I have heard so much about this movie before it was shown, and I never expected too much honestly. The reason being is that, I am utterly tired of a movie that promises, but does not actually deliver what the audience expects.

But Avatar is one of the exceptions. It does deliver what a moviegoers should rightfully get. The scie-fi-fantasy-adventure setting would surely keep the spectators on their seats. I could not even take my eyes off the screen.

The story is stereotyped, predictable but the twist and turn of events, coupled by surreal Pandora world, a kind like garden of eden, rich, lush rainforest makes it awesome. The illuminating colors of blue, purple, and white provides a magical feel. At one point, I wanted to immerse myself into the movie if only to experience a fleeting magical world. Initially, I thought that the appearance of the characters in Pandora  are ugly – they are ten feet tall, bluish with tails and rabbit like ears, but minute after minute until the movie ended, I became very fond of these creatures.

Cinematic effects are spectacular that further enhanced the story. It also delivers a powerful message that is politically applicable in today’s word.  I will  not be surprise if Avatar will reap all the awards at the Oscars this year!

2010 Planner: My Moleskine and Starbucks

Planning and organizing goes together. In planning , one  is assured to have a better grasp on how to deal with personal life  and work complexities.  It is amazing how a pen and planner would make life a lot earsier to deal with.  I am very excited to welcome year 2010, although year 2009 has been great and blessed year for me.  Im definitely having my moleskine , starbucks planner, and my omnia pro in going through 2010.

I chose Moleskine, because of its reknowed quality over years, aside from its remarkable reputation worldwide. It is now the current reigning king of little black book. Oh let me add, I particularly like its simple and unassuming design. Nothing is written on the front cover, just the word moleskine imprinted on the back cover, that’s almost neglible.

Since collecting Starbucks planner has been a tradition for me, I’m definitely having their 2010 planner too. What is more meaningful with having this Starbucks planner is that, there awaits 3,000 wishes of a brighter future to be granted to marginalized children thru Spark Hope Foundation.
